Before Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes rolled up the welcome mat on their romance, they were celebrating major milestones together.

Just two days before a rep for the “Dibs” singer confirmed to People that she and the Outer Banks star had ended their nearly three-year romance, Chase rang in Kelsea’s 32nd birthday with a message about her year ahead—one that seemed to include him in it.

“Although you keep saying you’re not excited for 32,” Chase captioned the Sept. 12 Instagram photo dump, which included a New York Knicks date night, a private jet selfie and a photo of their shadows giving the finger, ”I’d say I’m lookin’ forward to more of this.”

He added, “Happy birthday my love.”

However, it seems this year will kick of Kelsea’s new era as a single woman.
