Police say a speeding pickup truck slammed into an SUV, killing its driver Sept. 14.Luz E. Arroyo, 64, of Fayetteville, was killed in the collision that happened around 11 a.m. on Morganton Road near Hearthstone Drive, a Fayetteville Police Department news release said.The driver of the 2022 Dodge Ram, Richard B. Goodyear, 41, of Fayetteville was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, careless and reckless driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision. He was additionally charged with driving on the wrong side of the road, which happened before the wreck, Sgt. Alpha Caldwell said.
