We've got a pleasant start to our week here. In fact, the forecast for the start of the upcoming workweek, Monday through Wednesday, continues to paint a picture of generally warm and dry conditions.
We anticipate temperatures to remain above average, with highs often in the upper 80s to near 90, particularly west of Rockford.
As we move into the latter half of the week, however, the pattern shifts. We expect a transition towards more seasonable temperatures by Thursday and Friday, accompanied by an increasing chance for periodic shower and thunderstorm activity. Stay tuned as we monitor how these chances for showers develop and track across our viewing area.
