GREEN RIVER, Utah (ABC4) — A southern Utah man is recovering after being caught in a flash flood on Saturday near Green River, which prompted a multi-agency rescue response.
Sheriff Tyson Huntington with the Emery County Sheriff's Office says their dispatch center received a call just after 4 p.m. Saturday, stating there was a person stuck in a wash during a flash flood on Airport Road on the south side of Green River.
An Emery County Deputy was immediately dispatched to scene, and called for more resources upon arrival. A second deputy arrived to assist with rope gear, with Green River Fire Department being called to the scene, and personnel with public works were requested to bring a front end loader.
Crews began to come up with a rescue plan once all resources were on scene. Shortly
