The Department of Veterans Affairs will realign an additional $800 million this fiscal year to improve health care facilities, including the Battle Creek VA Medical Center.
The funding is part of the Veterans Health Administration’s Non-Recurring Maintenance program, which aims to enhance infrastructure to ensure safe and effective patient care, according to a community announcement.
The extra money will be used for various improvement projects at VA health care facilities nationwide. At the Battle Creek VAMC, the funds will be used to renovate restrooms, renovate audiology, renovate PCAT reception area, building 2, renovate Wyoming Room 2H111A for CT and renovate room 2237, building 2 for radiology equipment. Additionally, there will be EHRM JSA-FDS support upgrades.
