COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio —

Firefighters say that a large fire at the Rumpke landfill in Colerain Township has now been contained.

It is unknown what time the fire started. However, the Colerain Township Fire Department says that the fire was fully contained as of 8:18 p.m.

According to the department, the EPA will now monitor the area for hazardous air conditions and issue alerts as needed. However, the department said that no alerts have been issued at this time.

A spokesperson with Rumpke told WLWT that all of their employees that work at the Colerain facility have been fully accounted for.
