MONROE, CT. (WFSB) - A person was transported to the hospital after colliding with a vehicle while on a motorcycle in Monroe.

Police say that it happened on Route 34.

The motorcycle operator was transported to the hospital for their injuries. The extent is unknown and they were conscious and alert when authorities were on scene.

The road was shut down for the investigation but it has since reopened.
