A 59-year-old man was wounded in a shooting Sunday night in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood, police said.

About 8:14 p.m., a group of men were arguing in the 7800 block of South Marshfield Avenue. Police said one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the victim before fleeing.

The man was shot in the back and transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

No arrests were made. Area Two detectives are investigating.
