(FOX40.COM) — A man was pronounced dead after a train vs. pedestrian incident in Roseville on Sunday, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.

Metro Fire was dispatched around 8:01 p.m. to Roseville Road and Walerga Road in North Highlands. Crews located an adult man who had been struck by a train.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office remains on scene.

The Union Pacific Railroad will be leading the investigation into this incident. No further information is available at this time.
