PHILADELPHIA - The Phillies will have to wait at least one more day to celebrate a second straight National League East championship after falling to the Kansas City Royals, 10-3, on Sunday at Citizens Bank Park.

They could have also celebrated with a Mets loss but New York snapped a six-game losing streak on a Pete Alonso walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th to beat the Rangers, 5-2, as the Phillies watched from their clubhouse after their loss.

It all seemed to set up perfectly for the red-hot Phillies on Sunday.

A magic number of 1 to win the National League East. A sold-out home crowd at Citizens Bank Park where they play their best baseball.
