After being held out of the past two games, Hawaii quarterback Micah Alejado is poised to start in this coming Saturday’s game against Fresno State at the Ching Complex.
UH head coach Timmy Chang said Alejado will be evaluated this week. But barring unexpected circumstances, Chang said, “Micah will start.”
Alejado suffered an injury to his right foot in the season-opening victory against Stanford. Despite suffering the ailment on the first drive of the second half, Alejado missed only one play, then returned to lead the Warriors to the tying and winning drives.
He did not participate in drills in the Tuesday and Wednesday practices leading to the Aug. 30 road game against Arizona. But he took all the snaps in team drills on Thursday and Friday that week, then started against the Wildcat
