A man has been charged with "assault" following a death at a Scots holiday park.

Emergency services raced to Rothesay Gardens at Wemyss Bay Holiday Park in Inverclyde after receiving reports of a man being found injured at 12.05am on Sunday. Crews attended and the man, aged 33, was pronounced dead at the scene .

Yesterday, we told how a 21-year-old man and 28-year-old woman had been arrested in connection with an alleged assault. Officers have confirmed that the 21-year-old has now been charged.

He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, September 16. The 28-year-old woman was released pending further inquiry.
