Sofía Vergara unexpectedly had to swap the Emmys red carpet for the emergency room.

The Modern Family alum, 53, was due to attend the 2025 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 14, but in an Instagram post late Sunday night, the actress said she instead found herself in the hospital with an eye allergy.

“Didnt make it to the Emmys but made it to the ER sorry I had to cancel! Craziest eye allergie [sic] right before getting in the car!,” Vergara captioned a carousel of images and videos from her hospital visit.
