COLDWATER, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies say they arrested a woman after conducting a traffic stop in Coldwater and finding methamphetamine inside the car.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday on W. Garfield Avenue near Treat Avenue, according to the Branch County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said they initially stopped the car because it didn't have valid insurance. Then, they said, they found meth "both on the driver's person and within the vehicle."
The driver, a 57-year-old Coldwater woman, was taken into custody and jailed, according to the sheriff's office. She's facing charges linked to the possession of methamphetamines.
"The Branch County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to keeping our communities safe and will continue to actively enforce drug-related offenses," the office wrote
