Ricky Hatton’s family have paid tribute to the former world champion who “inspired generations with his fighting spirit” following his death aged 46.

Hatton was found dead at his home in Hyde, Greater Manchester, on Sunday. Police officers attended the scene in response to a call from a member of the public.
