NEW YORK, NY – The Monday morning rush brought a mix of crashes, disabled vehicles, and construction projects that slowed traffic on highways across New York.

On Long Island, I-495 westbound near Exit 35 in North Hempstead saw a crash blocking the right shoulder, while the Southern State Parkway had separate incidents: a crash westbound at Exit 13N in Hempstead blocking the shoulder and a disabled vehicle eastbound at Exit 27N. Additional lane closures were reported on Bay Parkway in Hempstead, where roadwork was scheduled through 3 p.m.
