Gas prices across Michigan were down 13 cents from a week ago with drivers in Macomb County paying as low as $2.89 per gallon on Sunday.

According to AAA’s Monday report Michigan drivers are now paying an average of $3.05 per gallon for regular unleaded. This price is 12 cents less than this time last month and 21 cents less than this time last year.

“Michigan motorists are seeing lower prices at the pump, with some metro areas seeing averages below $3 a gallon,” Adrienne Woodland, a spokesperson for AAA-The Auto Club Group said, in a news release. “If gas demand continues to fall, alongside increasing supply, then gas prices may drop further.”
