Emma Heming Willis, wife of Bruce Willis, has made a heart-wrenching admission about the couple's struggles prior to his dementia diagnosis. Emma, 47, confessed that she noticed Bruce becoming distant, withdrawn, and unrecognisable before they sought medical help.

In her new memoir, The Unexpected Journey, Emma reveals her fears that their marriage was on the brink of collapse. She even began to worry that Bruce, now 70, "wasn't the man she married".

The former model expressed: "It just wasn't Bruce. It wasn't the man I married. It was like waking up next to someone else.

"Before I knew Bruce's brain was slowly changing, we struggled with miscommunications and an inability to connect. All of this made me contemplate divorce."
