Detectives are appealing for information after two cars were set alight in Airdrie late last night.
The incident happened at around 11.50pm on Sunday, September 14, on Carlisle Road. Emergency services rushed to the scene of the fire which saw a blue Citroen DS3 and a black Range Rover up in flames.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze and there were no reports of any injuries.
Police Scotland are treating it as wilful with enquiries now ongoing.
Detective Constable Scott Brown said: “Thankfully no-one was injured as a result of this incident.
“I am appealing for anyone who has any information which could assist to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone with dash cam or private CCTV to contact us.”
