DETROIT -- The Detroit Lions responded from their season-opening loss in a big way. They beat the Chicago Bears, 52-21, spoiling Ben Johnson’s return to Ford Field in all-around dominating style.

Detroit’s offensive line still has the goods

After a week spent discussing communication issues and the youth on the interior offensive line needing time to mesh, the Lions showed they still can dominate. They didn’t give up a single sack, surrendered only five pressures and helped the rushing attack average 5.9 yards per carry on 30 runs.

That’ll do.
