Tonya Griffin, born April 9, 1966, passed away peacefully at home on the Griffin Ranch in Newton, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of cancer. Though her health presented challenges throughout her life, Tonya’s spirit, determination, and love for others never wavered.

Tonya grew up in Newton on her family’s farm, where she spent her childhood milking cows, moving pipe, and bailing hay. She was a natural athlete who shined on the tennis court, basketball court, and soccer field during high school. Her adventurous, competitive spirit carried her to Utah State University, where she joined Kappa Delta sorority and graduated in 1989 with a degree in Business Marketing.
