WASHINGTON — Vice President JD Vance will step behind the mic Monday to host “The Charlie Kirk Show” in tribute to his longtime friend, days after the conservative activist was shot and killed during a campus event in Utah.
Vance announced his appearance Sunday on X, calling it “an honor” to step in for his late friend.
“Please join me as I pay tribute to my friend,” he wrote .
Kirk, 31, the founder of Turning Point USA and a prominent conservative activist, was fatally shot Sept. 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University. Police have arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson in relation to the fatal shooting.
Vance and Kirk had been close for many years, with Kirk backing Vance’s 2021 Senate campaign and introducing him to Donald Trump Jr. After the shooting, Vance missed 9/11 memoria
