Ilaugh whenever I look on social media and see fans from an opposing NFL team boast about how they took over Bourbon Street.
That’s easy to do. Locals aren’t hanging out there anyway.
But when fans of an opposing team take over the Superdome , that’s a totally different story.
That was the case Sunday in the New Orleans Saints’ 26-21 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
If you sat in the Dome with your eyes closed, you would have sworn the Saints had won based on the crowd noise.
There was a loud roar from the sea of red when the 49ers scored their first touchdown.
Those roars got even louder with chants of “DE-FENSE, DE-FENSE” later in the game as the Saints’ offense tried to rally for a victory.
