Bar Louie, the Addison, Texas-based gastropub chain that offered flatbreads and burgers outside Jordan Creek Town Center, permanently closed its West Des Moines location over the weekend.

Bar Louie filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy , restructuring the company's debt and shutting down locations nationwide, in March. Initially, the West Des Moines location was not slated to close.

The bankruptcy filing follows reports of several abrupt location closures across the country in 2025. It also lands Bar Louie as the latest American restaurant chain to go bankrupt in the last year, following Red Lobster , TGI Fridays , On The Border , and Bucca di Beppo .
