King Princess has called the Harry Potter tales a “queer” story and branded author JK Rowling a “demon of a woman” in a new interview.
Speaking to The Irish Times about her new album, Girl Violence , the genderqueer singer, who uses she/they pronouns, said that to be LGBTQ+ in America right now was a “tough bag”, before admitting that she loved the “queer themes” behind the Harry Potter stories.
“It’s about choice and difference and finding your community and chosen family,” they said. “These are all very queer themes.” But she then hit out at JK Rowling’s views on the trans community , calling her a demon.
