RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — A 26-year-old man is accused of strangling a woman at a home, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect, Jorbin Jar Hernandez Rosales, was arrested Sunday after deputies responded to an assault call at Wedgewood Terrace. He was later located and detained, and deputies returned to the scene to complete the investigation. Emergency medical services evaluated the victim.
Rosales faces charges including felony assault by strangulation, misdemeanor assault on a female, misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury, and misdemeanor injury to personal property. He was not granted bail because of the domestic nature of the alleged offenses.
A first appearance was scheduled for Monday in Randolph County District Court.
