Donald Trump has said three people were killed in a US military strike on an alleged Venezuelan drug cartel vessel.
The US president said the strike, on Monday morning, was carried out on his orders and that the vessel was in international waters at the time.
It marks the second such US strike on targets the Trump administration says are Venezuelan drug traffickers, with the first killing 11 people earlier this month.
Mr Trump provided no evidence that the boat was carrying drugs at the time, but said on Truth Social that the military operation "positively identified extraordinarily violent drug trafficking cartels and narcoterrorists".
