Police are warning people to steer clear of a section of East Harlem due to ongoing activity.

According to the NYPD, there’s a significant police presence near the intersection of East 123rd Street and Second Avenue. Authorities posted on social media around 4:45 p.m., urging people to avoid the area and expect delays.

Details about what prompted the response have not yet been released. A spokesperson for the department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
