US Vice President JD Vance has paid tribute to his long-time friend Charlie Kirk while filling in as guest host of his show, as he urged people to call out others celebrating the conservative activist's death.

The Charlie Kirk Show will continue to go on despite the death of the Turning Point USA founder, and Vance sat in the host chair for an episode after voluntarily putting his hand up for the gig.

In the two-hour long episode, Vance spoke about how Kirk became a close friend of his, and also sat down with several guests including members of White House staff such as Stephen Miller (deputy chief of staff for policy), Taylor Budowich (deputy chief of staff for communications and personnel), Kaelan Dorr (deputy communications director).
