Police responded to an incident involving a plane at the Calgary International Airport on Monday afternoon, prompting a temporary increase in security measures.

According to the Calgary Police Service, officers were called to the airport at approximately 2:20 p.m. following an incident involving an incoming aircraft.

The plane landed safely, and all passengers got off the plane without injury. Police confirm there is no risk to public safety, though the investigation remains ongoing.

Calgary Airports Authority acknowledged the response and thanked travellers for their patience as required security checks were completed. Passengers are being advised to check their flight status with airlines.
