DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Traffic jams. We've all been in them, and they stink! You may also think this week's weather stinks. At any one given time, there are typically 4 or 5 large storms across the Northern Hemisphere. Two occupy parts of the lower 48 right now.
One storm along the North Carolina coast will take a couple of days to do a loop before heading back out to sea. Meanwhile, a large dome of high pressure over Michigan will continue to produce plenty of heat. However, that same high pressure region also brings a northeast wind flow into the state, allowing humidity to remain subdued. So, it's like a Las Vegas dry heat around here. Kinda.
Farther west, another storm is slow to progress through Wyoming given what is taking place ahead of it in Michigan and North Carolina.
