DAPHNE, Ala. (WKRG) — Surveillance video shows two people wearing masks pounding on a family's front door in the Timbercreek neighborhood Saturday night, and police warn that what might seem like a prank could quickly turn dangerous.

"If you're a homeowner and you see this on your your surveillance cameras, then you would only assume the worst, especially at that time of night," Captain David Smith with the Daphne Police Department said.

People in the neighborhood who wish to stay anonymous said the people in the video were banging on the windows and doors of several homes that night.

"What they think is a joke and harmless could could really quickly turn tragic," Smith said.
