MADISON, Wis. -- Gov. Tony Evers signed Executive Order #275 directing the Wisconsin Department of Health Services to ensure residents have access to vaccines.

This comes after the Trump administration implemented new policies to limit approval for seasonal COVID-19 shots. In August, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cancelled $500 million in funding for mRNA vaccines being developed to prevent viruses that cause diseases such as COVID-19.

The governor’s executive order directs DHS to continually monitor and review immunization recommendations, issue guidance on the COVID-19 vaccine, determine whether any additional measures that may be necessary to provide clarity and guidance on other routine vaccines.
