Australians receiving the aged pension could end up with slightly more money in their pockets when Centrelink payments increase from Saturday.

More than 5 million people will see an increase in their bank account because of the increases, the Department of Social Services says.

But not every payment is increasing.

And increases to deeming rates could reduce how much some part-rate pensioners receive.
