Runners from all four local schools made the short trip to Monticello to take part in the Wayne County Invitational on Saturday, with several athletes recording high finishes.
In the boys' varsity race, Somerset finished fifth as a team while Southwestern placed sixth. The Jumpers were led by Alex Baker, who finished 14th with a time of 19:22.13. The top local finisher was Southwestern's Drew Kelly, who finished second with a time of 17:33.21. Other top local finishers included Southwestern's Hunter Troxtle in 15th with a time of 19:26.81, Pulaski's Jasper Pace in 22nd with a time of 19:50.32 and Somerset's Brendan McKnight in 28th with a time of 20:06.17.
