KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Scruffy’s Cat Cafe off Broadway in Knoxville has had a major impact in keeping stray cats off our streets since 2020.
Talisa Roach founded Scruffy’s in the thick of the pandemic with one goal in mind: help her community. Since then, they’ve helped over 1,000 cats get adopted. That’s enough to send Young William’s Animal Center into critical capacity more than 13 times.
“I’m just glad that we can be a beacon of hope and love for the community,” Roach said. “It Definitely fills my heart with a sense of purpose and peace knowing that this is doing a world of good for so many different souls.”
