MONTPELIER, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Montpelier police took a woman into custody Monday evening after one person suffered a head injury.
According to police reports, one victim was hit in the head with a bottle and injured at around 5:00 p.m. Monday; they were taken to a hospital for evaluation and treatment. Police said that they identified Brooklyn Champaine, 18, as a suspect in the attack and took her into custody.
Champaine reportedly struggled with police while being arrested, and is now facing a felony charge of aggravated assault for the original incident as well as several misdemeanor charges.
She was taken to the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility, the state's only women's prison, in lieu of $5,000 bail.
