CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Concertgoers at PNC Music Pavilion found their vehicles vandalized and burglarized following a Nelly performance, with more than 20 police reports filed and victims saying the actual number of affected cars was much higher.

The incident occurred in the parking lot after the concert ended, leaving attendees to discover shattered windows and stolen items as they returned to their vehicles.

"I work here cause I love music," an anonymous employee who was among the victims said. "The money is secondary, but it is aggravating to come out and there has been that much damage done to your vehicle."

Curry Smith, who traveled from Winston-Salem for the show, described the scene he encountered.
