COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - On Monday evening, dozens of USC students filed into the Russell House ballroom, and more gathered outside to hold a prayer vigil for Charlie Kirk.

Kirk was fatally shot while speaking at an event on Utah Valley University’s campus last week.

The vigil was organized by the university’s Turning Point USA chapter, the organization that Kirk founded in 2012.

This event is one of many vigils that have taken place across the country in the days following Kirk’s death.

The university also held a moment of silence at Saturday’s football game against Vanderbilt.
