EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The University of Evansville men's soccer team earned their first win of the season against Southern Indiana in the Mayor's Cup last weekend. Now the Purple Aces hope to use that game as momentum for the rest of the season.

Coming off of a season in which UE won the Missouri Valley Conference tournament championship and earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament, the Aces have gotten off to a slower start than most expected they would. Through seven matches on the season, Evansville has a record of (1-2-4). In comparison, last year they were (4-3) though their first seven matches.

Now with two remaining tough match-ups left in their non-conference slate, the Purple Aces hope the momentum they built up in their 3-0 win over USI will change the trajectory of their seas
