HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Recent videos circulating online show violent bullying among Hawaii’s youth.
In one case recently shared with the group Stolen Stuff Hawaii, a mother explains her child was harassed by eighth graders from an Aliamanu school.
She says her daughter brought up her concerns to the vice principal, but was told to just walk away.
Tensions mounted to a violent encounter at a public bus stop where the girl was flown to the ground, and her face was scraped up.
“Whenever we share these videos, for example when I share it, it’s because I’m being asked by the parents. I’m being asked for help to raise awareness and unfortunately, some people take that and they go too far and they do kind of a sort of reverse bullyism, which is I think the wrong approach,” Stolen Stuff Ha
