DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A Davenport man is facing two charges after police said he stabbed a woman.
On Aug. 28, Davenport police officers went to the 400 block of West 13th Street for a report of weapons or firearms, according to court documents.
When officers arrived, they said the victim had what appeared to be a stab wound under her right breast.
The victim told police that 30-year-old Devonte Tracy had stabbed her. Police said he had ran from the area before officers got there.
Multiple witnesses also told police they heard Tracy and the victim fighting before the stabbing.
Police also found a large kitchen knife in the grass near the 400 block of West 13th Street.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.
