LOUDONVILLE, NY (NEWS10) -- The Siena men's basketball team won't open it's season until November 3 against Bryant, but they scored one of the biggest wins of the season on Monday. Head coach Gerry McNamara and the Saints landed the highest ranked recruit in program history: 2026 point guard Ryan Moesch from Cushing Academy.
Moesch verbally committed to Siena on Monday. The four star recruit began his high school career at home in the Syracuse area, playing for Chittenango High School. That's where he became the school's all-time leading scorer as a junior, and it's also where his relationship with Siena head coach Gerry McNamara began.
