LOS ANGELES -- The series opener between the Dodgers and Phillies at Dodger Stadium on Monday was every bit the heavyweight slugfest that was billed.

The Dodgers rallied late in the seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th innings before ultimately falling short, 6-5 .

The two sides traded bat cracks all night -- a solo shot from Kyle Schwarber in the top of the first. A bomb from Max Muncy to lead off the bottom of the fifth. A two-run go-ahead homer from Weston Wilson in the seventh followed by a game-tying home run from Mookie Betts, to which Bryce Harper responded with a solo homer of his own, all in the span of an inning and a half.
