STOCKBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WILX) - A structure fire has shut down both sides of M-106 near Stockbridge early Tuesday morning. The fire broke out at a home in far southern Ingham County near the Jackson County line around 1:42 a.m. according to the Stockbridge Area Emergency Services Authority (S.A.E.S.A.).

As of 2:30 a.m. both north and southbound M-106 are shut down between Stephen Rd and Krummery Ln in Stockbridge Township. The Fire Department told News 10 they were still actively fighting flare up spots in the home.

It is not immediately known if anyone was injured as a result of the fire. News 10 is working to learn more and will update this article with further information.

The Unadilla Township, Henrietta Township and Ingham Township Fire Departments also responded to the scene.
