Community members, political party leaders and conservative youth organizations paid their respects to activist Charlie Kirk Sept. 15 at two Upstate remembrance ceremonies.
Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA and a conservative talk show host, was shot and killed at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10. Officials are still looking for a motive, but the shooting sparked nationwide calls for an end to political violence. Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said more information will be released with charging documents on Sept. 16, USA Today reports.
