CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Police are conducting a homicide investigation after an early morning shooting that left a man dead and a woman seriously injured.

CMPD says the shooting happened near the Dollar Tree Plaza on Albemarle Road around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.

We are working to learn more details about what led to the shooting and if police have any suspects.

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
