CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Wednesday marks the 258th anniversary of the United States Constitution being signed by the original 39 Founding Fathers. Each year, UVA’s Batten School of Leadership and public policy recognizes the day.

UVA invited the director of the Center for American Civics and professor at Arizona State University, Paul Carrese, to speak with Batten School members about the importance of understanding our nation’s Constitution, calling it the common ground for all Americans.
