WAYNESBORO, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Burke County Sheriff’s Office has identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a tragic series of events on Highway 23 in Burke County on Monday.

Deputies say that around 6:27 a.m., they responded to a crash with injuries on Highway 23 between Jack Delaigle Road and Hancock Landing Road.

The investigation revealed that a motorcycle traveling west on Highway 23 was struck by a large deer that entered the roadway.
