The Queen was forced to pull out of a major Royal event due to her health.

The 78-year-old had been due to join King Charles, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales and other members of the Royal Family , today, Tuesday, September 16.

They were bidding farewell to Katharine, Duchess of Kent, at Westminster Cathedral.

But the Queen did not attend the funeral after suffering from acute sinusitis, Buckingham Palace confirmed.

Katharine's requiem mass, a Catholic funeral, was the first held for a member of the monarchy in modern British history.
